The gut and heart wrenching experience Quinn and Alandra went through was summin else. It took them three years to reunite along with some suspense thrown in, lies and betrayal along the way. It comes back again to who do you trust. Trust the wrong person and you will be dead. I knew who the traitor was from the beginning because I had a hunch and it paid off. Quinn felt betrayed that Alandra thought he had something to do with her shooting. Their trust of each other came into question, but their love prevailed.Malik and Cameron are some true friends. Cameron aka Wiz is a genius and can infiltrate any system. Who would have thought Malik aka Tree is a chef in the making. Love their dynamics.
I can see where some readers did not like the ending, but once they together and safe that is all that mattered in the end. We will see them in the future.

These two together are amazing. Quinn is the quintessential macho male and Amanda a pint size dynamo. This is a great love story and an explosive read.
Rendezvous with Danger (Reunited Series (Romantic Suspense))
This was a so-so romantic spy mystery. The spy mystery wasn't all that suspenseful or gripping. When I got the big reveal about the bad guy, I didn't really care. Alandra's character lacked consistency. Sometimes was a highly trained bad ass, fighting skillfully. Others she was just an investigator without combat training. Also I didn't believe in the romance either. The words were right but there were a lot of holes and issues resolved to easily. I didn't like the ending either.
Suspenseful...being in love with a spy..how
dangerous is that. Quinn loved Alandra and to
believe that she had died in his arms after
a botched operative mission and to have your
superiors tell you that the only woman you
will every love has been killed, and for
Alandra to think that the only man she will
every love has been killed no wonder they
each felt that they were losing their minds
and they were in need of therapy to get on
with their lives. Who can you trust??? Quinn
was something else....all of the suspense over
who had set them up was a thrill. Never thought it was the one person in the agency
that Alandra thought she could trust.

It was nice to get to know Quinn better, after his appearance in the first installment of the series. I appreciated the brotherhood shared between Quinn, Wiz and Malik. These characters lead such action-packed lives! Ready to start Malik's adventure.
I read the first book in this series, Secret Rendezvous the prequel to Rendezvous with Danger and thoroughly enjoyed it. I purchased this book, not realizing its relation to the first, and was pleasantly surprised to be revisiting with Quinn and Alandra. I especially loved seeing the twist their love journey took, as well as how they worked through the obstacles of fear, trust and feelings of betrayal. She weaves a great story of suspenseful intrigue as this book reads like a movie in your head because of the vivid scenes Ms. Cooper draws with her words. This book is definitely a page-turner and emotionally packed as well! I look forward to reading her next book!
First, let me just say, I love reading books by Ms. Cooper. Her stories are always well thought out and suspenseful. The same can be said for this book. However, I will say that these characters were just missing something. I did read the prequel to this story, but I think that's kind of what ruined this book for me. There was a passion and chemistry that was shared by Alandra and Quinn that fell off when it came to this part of their story. Not only that but the obstacles that they had to overcome were huge and it seemed a little bit forced and unnatural for them to all of a sudden be back on track. I mean one minute, Quinn is feeling wary of Alandra because his instincts tell him she's not being honest, then he's giving her a wedding ring. In between that time, however, not much really happens between them that makes that believable. To me, that's what it all boils down to, I didn't believe in Quinn and Alandra. It was actually pretty easy to forget about them as I had to force myself to continue reading this story. Maybe Ms. Cooper rushed this or maybe it just didn't have the spark all her other stories usually have. Either way the actual story didn't meet the anticipation of the book. It was still well written but I could've kept that $4.
Wow.. This story was fast-paced and a pager turner. Alandra Pargas was an ex-CIA Counter Intelligence Officer trying to find the person or person's who tried to take her life three years previously. When Alandra landed on the doorsteps of her former lover; Special Operative Quinn Hamilton to ask his help. She received the unexpected shock of her life in the form of a very angry Quinn. In his anger and disbelief at her betrayal he threw her out of his home. She had let him believe for three long years that the love of his life was dead. The betrayal was more than he could bare. However, his heart did not listen and later pulled Quinn to at least listen to her side of the story. When it was clear that someone else knew that she was alive and well,Quinn had to solicit the help of fellow operative whom were also friends to help him keep Alandra safe and to track down the person trying kill her again. His special ops team had quite a fight this time... and it is worth every page. In this story, we revisit friends from Secret Rendezvous the prequel and Blue Roses novels.. Wiz. Olivia and the fellas. My only complaint is the ending.. I am hoping for another story to bring the group together again.
