I came across this author by accident while searching for a mystery to read. Summer Walsh is a former police officer who is searching for herself. She travels to Atlanta to interview for a position at a day care center, but while driving around the area, spots a body in a garden. She can't help but get involved in the police investigation, as a part of her still misses the detective work. The book flowed nicely, and I liked the main character, Summer Walsh. It was a good mystery and kept me not only guessing, but reading to find out just who was the killer.Product details

I know summer is supposed to be finding herself but it's the same plot line as before. She gets a new job, before she starts she finds a body, complains to who ever that she's burnt out on police work, breaks rules to help solve the murder and quits new job and goes in search of a new new job.
It kept me involved. Would read more of this author's work.
An engrossing read, and hard to put down. Ms. Tisdale weaves characters into the story so they are real, believable. Will be reaching for the next Summer Walsh mystery tomorrow!
I bought this book in passing and do not regret the purchase. I like Summer and look forward to another body being discovered
S o so . For a women who doesn't want to be a detective she can't help herself . Gets tiresome the third time she tells people that. Please just let her go back to being a cop.
You have a compelling story and an intriguing murder mystery, like Murder Under the Mistletoe and Offed at the Office, but they left me wondering why they were so brief. Each one of the novellas could easily be expanded to a first rate novel with a little more detail in certain places. Despite this, I've loved every one of them and could really relate to Summer.
I really loved Summer. She is "finding" herself and accepted a job in Atlanta at a day care. I was glad that Ms. Tisdale didn't try to get Summer involved in the day to day care of the kids at the day care. (Summer lasted less than 2 days.) I was sorry when this was over and will look for more from Ms. Tisdale.
